Deliberately creating situations for urges


Two part question:

1. When counting our 100 urges, is there still a value in allowing an urge that isn’t a real option? In other words, if I am at work and have a desire for a food at a restaurant (or something else that’s not really immediately practical), does that still count as allowing an urge if I have no real ability to follow the urge?

2. I know you mention meditation practice as a way of deliberately practicing allowing urges. What do you think about watching cooking shows (a favorite past-time for me) as a way to create urges to allow as practice?
