Is depression a feeling or a circumstance? I have been having some depression lately. I have been diagnosed in the past, currently taking medication for anxiety that can sometimes exacerbate it. My thoughts are reflecting this and they’ve become more self-pitying and hopeless lately. Lots of thoughts like I can’t make enough money, I provide little value, great, here’s depression again, I’ll probably do something Why does this happen, I should eat better so my mind is better…?

The F line is often “depressed”. Is it thoughts, body, both? Should I consider depression a circumstance I sometimes have to deal with that causes a pause in some of the things I want to do?

I have had it on and off since a head injury.
