Desire deconditioning


I am ready to do the hard work
My husband’s birthday is in 2 days and I plan to eat a piece of cake . I was thinking of getting rid of leftovers so I wont get tempted anymore but I would like your input as to what would serve me long term.Leave it in the fridge and try to allow the emotional pain that will inevitably happen every time I see it in the fridge until someone in my family finishes the cake ( with this approach, there is a huge risk of me binge on the cake if I give in to urge )versus just give it away to coworkers so i don’ t have to deal with the temptation ( is that resisting the upcoming urges though? )
