When I binge eat, I do notice that I have the thought, “ I REALLY want that (whatever it is)” … is there always a thought before this or can this BE the thought? I know for sure I am so automatically conditioned with binge eating, and I often cannot identify any thoucht prior to the binge, other than that I want it… so i was curious if this could be the only thought and its more of an automatic response to that thought and the sudden feeling of desire or if more times there is a thoucht preceeding the “i want it” and I just cant identify it yet? and if so, any suggestions on how to start to identify the “real” thought?
