Does becoming aware of your feelings make you more emotional?

Since I started doing thought work four weeks ago, I realise that I have become more emotional. This has led me to feel exhausted of doing thought downloads and models. It reminds me a lot of the situation when cleaning a room that was unorganised before, it tends to look even messier during the process than it was before the cleaning started. I was wondering whether the awareness of my thoughts and feelings leads to the emotional sensitivity and thus the emotional fatigue I experience? How can I feel better in the process of thought work while gaining a deeper understanding of my thoughts, feelings and actions?
