I work for a nonprofit and we sometimes receive donations. I’m afraid that when we receive a donation I don’t respond enthusiastically enough.

I fear that makes me (as the agency’s representative) seem unappreciative. But I am very appreciative. I just don’t know what to say or do to show it “enough”.

So then I end up replaying it in my head and feeling like I did it wrong. It’s a very uncomfortable process, so then I end up not doing the work to get more donations because I’m so uncomfortable with how I feel when we do get them.
