Had a brief mindset shift I thought I’d share. I stopped drinking (Thanks, Brooke!) and have been trying to cut out all sugar. It has not been easy. I’ve been able to cut out processed sugars, but my brain has switched to “EAT ALL THE FRUIT!” I’ve been thinking “OH, how I wish I could just cut out all food like I cut out all alcohol. That would be so much easier.”
And THEN I realized… I didn’t stop drinking. I only stopped drinking beverages with alcohol in them. I still drink beverages. Just not beverages with alcohol. So I can certainly still eat food – just not food with sugar. It’s the same thing. I still drink, I still eat – but I just don’t alcohol and I just don’t eat sugar. Anyway, that just shifted my mind thinking that one was easier than the other.
