Eating on protocol when you don’t know what will be available


I’m going away next weekend and I don’t know what food will be available.

Is it okay to plan 24 hours ahead for something less specific than usual, like “vegetables in a salad with some cheese and a fruit?” And if it’s not available, then just dine in.

It’s less precise but still on protocol. I don’t want my brain to start negotiating because of this.
