Hi! I’m grappling with the idea that emotions are harmless. I understand the idea for the most part, and am coming to believe it. I’m stuck on the emotion of anxiety, due to the fact that I have had physical reactions to it in the past (panic attacks, hives, heart palpitations, etc.). Obviously, I survived these episodes, and have learned a lot about dealing with anxiety, but I can’t get over the idea that the feeling can “hurt” me through these physical experiences. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
