Enjoy being you workbook

Hi, I am a diamond here in scholars. These days I am completing the “How to enjoy being you workbook”. Here is one exercise:
Do a model on one of your thoughts about how you should be different. Notice how it feels

C: me
T: I should be able to grow and my life expanding
F: hope
A: Set expectations
R: Disappointed when things do not follow my expectations

This makes me wonder about expectations. I never heard brooke talk around them. I see my brains always setting them, and hence creating the premise to feel in credit with reality, that reality owns me something , the premise for feeling fear of not getting what is expected and the premise of disappointment when the expectations are in fact not met. Could you please offer me some different perspective and thoughts around this? Thanks!
