How do I tell the difference between exhaustion created by my mind/thoughts and exhaustion as a physical sensation in my body? Since the beginning of the year, I have been waking up at 4 am wide awake, but then also get really sleepy during the day and take several naps. Part of me thinks I am buffering and I am avoiding feelings by going to sleep and another part of me wonders if it’s a side effect of my medication. Or perhaps both.
