I was adopted as a baby–63 years later, I found my original family. The adoption records in Jersey were unsealed a year ago. Additionally, I had purchased a 23and me kit. Long story, I have wonderful, welcoming cousins and a 1/2 sister. In my enthusiasm, I reached out immediately to my sister. She told my cousin-who also contacted her- to drop it. 10 months later, she befriended me on facebook. She will like a post or answer a message–but she doesn’t seem to want to meet. She had no idea she wasn’t an only child. Of course, rejection, again, comes up for being adopted – mom wasn’t married. I do get this is her stuff, but . . . Should I continue to pursue this or let it go–which is pretty much what I do? I would be a great sister:)
