Hi! I would like some insight on how to manage the mind when exhausted. I have intermittent insomnia so sometimes I’ll get 3-4 hours of sleep and then other nights, I’ll get 8. On the days after I get 8 hours, I’m on top of my game and it’s fairly easy to observe and manage my mind and stick to my intentions. When I’m sleep-deprived, however, I really have a hard time managing my mind or even having the awareness of what is going on inside of it. I have the physical throbbing in my right temple on these days and overall, just want to do nothing that exerts any energy, including interacting with others. It’s such a bummer because on the days I’m well rested, I’m pretty on top of things but feel like I backtrack after a poor night’s sleep. Thank you!
