Hi! Do you have any tips on overcoming the fear of flying? Do you recommend practicing certain thoughts beforehand?
In the past I have felt anxiety the weeks and days leading up to a flight. I realize now they come from my thoughts such as “There is so much to do to prepare for flying.” “I don’t want to stand in security with a toddler for a long time.” “My son will be terrible on the flight.” “The plane may crash.” “I hate flying.” You get the idea. I have worked on creating new thoughts “I am nervous about flying and that’s ok. I always get where I am going.” These more neutral thoughts help a little bit.
Do you have anything that you have recommended to people who generally have a fear of flying?
