Feel the feelings & negativity


Hi Brooke and team,

As I was doing some of the exercises around feelings, the following question popped up “What’s the worst that can happen (if you let yourself feel the negative feelings)?”

My answer is : If I let myself feel them, I fear a cycle of negative thinking and getting into a slump.

I noticed that I usually have a good day when I decide to stay positive – but if I wallow in negative things like complaining, feeling sorry for myself etc., it ends up being a bad day, like I have rolled in the mud of the negative feelings all day.

So my question to you is : how do I turn around this thinking that feeling the negative feelings will drag me into a bad day?
