Feeling entitled around special foods


I’m on vacation in our former home state of California. There are certain foods here that I can’t get where I live now… so here’s what’s happening.

Unintentional model:

C: foods only found here
T: they’re special and I should eat them while I’m here.
F: entitled? Desire?
A: eat (too much)
R: regret that I overate the foods (not on protocol)

Intentional model:
C: foods only found here
T: they’re special here, but I don’t have to overindulge
F: in control
R: enjoy just enough to be satisfied

The river of misery is that narrow gap between satisfactory and overindulgence.

Is there another model I can / should work with ?
