Feeling vs. Thought work to resolve the feeling


I feel like I’m getting confused and flip flopping between feeling and trying to do the thought work to realize that I can change my feeling.

For the past 2 weeks, I focused on experiencing discomfort and was able to keep my overeating under control, and lost weight. But this week, I began to think that I can change my thoughts so that I don’t feel discomfort. I realize that I overate a number of times and put on weight back again.

When should I try to get comfortable with discomfort and when should I try to change my thoughts so I don’t feel the discomfort?
