I’m playing around with the idea of truly believing a new thought and loved that someone here posted the link to Brooke’s “How to believe new things” somewhere in Ask A Coach.

The part I keep tripping up on is: What if the thought someone wants to believe isn’t fully under their control, for example, fertility?

If a woman wants to believe the thought: “I will become a biological mother to a child” or “I am the mother of my biological child” and then test results show otherwise after years of trying, that to me looks like Brooke’s wrong when she says “anyone can believe anything and expect that result ONCE THEY TRULY BELIEVE IT.”

I’m sorry to be so nit-picky here but I really want to understand this on the deepest level. Thanks for your insight.
