Financial planners aren’t life coaches, right?

I’m a financial planner. I’m doing pretty good (that’s a technical term) with my own thoughts about what’s happening with the markets but I’m at a loss about how to talk to my clients about THEIR thoughts.
Many believe that THIS situation is completely different from any of the market panics that have taken place in the past.
While it’s my job to help them make the decisions that are in their best interest, it’s THEIR money and if they insist on selling, I must do what they tell me. Even if I don’t believe it’s their best course of action.
I address their concerns with a sense of calm. I project a confident, optimistic point of view.
How do I help clients change their thinking without crossing a line? I’m NOT their life coach and that’s not what they pay me for.
