I understand the caller’s question and Lisa’s answer regarding the thoughts around the caller being “too flirtatious.” I get it that the caller is in charge of her thoughts and the man who wrote the poem is in charge of his thoughts. I’m wondering about the next level of actions for the caller in relation to the current situation with her poem writer. It seemed to me that she already knew that she could simply give a short “Hi” and not respond to his emails….and those actions weren’t really addressing her internal issue of “how to handle her current actions concerning the poem writer.” Where does the option of simply telling the poem writer that she has a boyfriend come into play?
