Friend or Coach


Hello!

So I was talking to one of my best friends yesterday and she had a thought error I recognized. I didn’t really know how to hold space for her… i.e. I wanted to empathize but I also wanted to tell her that she was causing this drama in her own head and how to think differently about the situation so she wouldn’t be so upset! How do you do both? Should I leave my “coach mindset” only for clients? It seems harder now I know these tools as before I would have been like “Yes! OMG everything you are saying is true”
