I’m a yoga instructor and negotiating with a potential employer about payment. I told him the price I’d like to receive. It’s higher than what I’ve typically made in the past, but believe I’ve been underselling and undervaluing myself until recently. My brain is now very comfortable with the fee I set and I believe I’m worth it. He says his budget is closer to ½ of what I requested. I read the answer about asking the employer ‘what expectations can I meet to make my fee worth it for your company?’ Love this and thinking of going this route.
