Grow in My Understanding

Involved with the victim mentality is the tendency to blame others for how we feel and to believe that what they did or said to us caused our pain.

However, we are being taught that our negative, painful emotions are because of beliefs and thoughts we are thinking and NOT WHAT THEY DID OR SAID. What they did or said is completely neutral.

One definition of racism is “the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another”.

I want to take this time to learn more. Will you please help me to grow in my understanding of what it looks like to take personal responsibility for painful emotions and be in emotional adulthood when someone has done or said something racial to us? Is WHATEVER someone says or does to us completely neutral? How do we best handle our feelings of inferiority in a variety of life situations?

Thank you in advance for your teaching here.
