“Happiness” binging

I have a long history of over desire for food that often times results in food binges. I am making good progress on these binges that frequently occur after dinner. Recently, however, I have observed that upon completion of long awaited goals, I have strong urges to celebrate with food binges or binging to continue feelings of celebration. I recognize the obvious wish for additional dopamine release, but wonder how to investigate other possible reasons behind this inappropriate desire.
