Help with joy eat

I have been following my protocol for 6 weeks and so far have lost 10 lbs. In addition to the weight loss, I have felt heightened energy, sharpened focus, and increased pleasure in areas not related to food or wine. I am thrilled about this. After watching several of Brooke’s Q&A calls and classes on weight loss I decided I should plan for the occasional joy eat in order to further practice managing my thoughts around urges. I want to get to the point where I can occasionally have a piece of cake, or dessert, for a special occasion and feel satisfied by just eating a few bites. I planned to have some ice cream this afternoon, and practiced eating it along with the tedious powerful worksheet. Later that day I started to really crave a glass of wine and pizza for dinner, then decided to give into the urge and eat it. Then I found myself craving more ice cream after the pizza. My question is, how do I control or manage these compulsive cravings that seem to intensify when I eat something off protocol as a joy eat? How do I stop myself from overdoing it, so that I can be better at just indulging a little during joy eats? Is it even worth having a joy eat, since it seems to just intensify cravings that I was successfully managing while being consistent on my protocol?
