I had a conversation with a friend today. She was worried about her parents on different topics and I could see that she had tears in her eyes. I could see how her thoughts were affecting her.
My automatic behavior in that case would be trying to find solutions for her. How could I be more helpful for my friend? Just acknowledging her pain, or trying to help her change her thoughts? It seems difficult to try to coach someone else, when I am myself just a beginner in self coaching.
