Holidays, letting go but remaining on protocol


I live far away from my home country and I am back for 1 month. When I’m staying at a friend’s or family’s place I don’t have direct control over the food. Can I plan my protocol to be: protein/veggie/fat in certain quantities without precisely stating the kind of food? I do believe I thrive better in more framed contexts (it’s easier to plan and remain on protocol) but I do believe it s an opportunity to “let go” of strong frames and learn to adapt.
