How to change my thoughts without changing my values


I know I can’t control other people and I can only control the way I feel about someone. I am very active and my husband used to be active but has injured himself and is now unable to do much. We’re both in our thirties, so still young. He won’t do anything to help his injury. The dr told him to ice it and if it’s still hurting to make another appointment. He hasn’t done anything and he just complains about it. My question is how do I change my thoughts around something I don’t want to change my thoughts around? I want to be active and grow old with someone who is active and works to be the best healthy version of themselves. If he isn’t willing to do that, how do I change my thoughts around that without change things I value?
