How to create feelings

Hi there!

I was working with a client this morning trying to cultivate the feeling of bravery. She was unable to find a thought that created the brave feeling and kept responding with “I don’t know what makes me feel brave, that’s why I’m here.” I was doing my best to encourage her to find the thought that creates said feeling or look to past examples of when she felt this way but we fell short. Any tips on what to do when this happens? I also suggested that maybe the feeling was something she could work up to? Not sure here!
