How to shut my “work-brain” off

I have a full time job, and I try to separate work-life from home-life. I don’t want work to run into my family time. Therefore, on my days off, I try not to answer emails or voicemails. Yet all I can think about is how stressful my next work day will be if I don’t keep up with those things. In doing so, it interferes with my home-life.

I’m struggling with what “thought” I should be telling myself so that I can easily ignore the work on my days off, without feeling guilty or scared of what my next workday will be like as a result.
