I heard many times Brooke said about the model that if the result does not show up it means that you don’t believe yet. But how do you do when the result of what you want is depended upon an external deadline independent of your belief? For example, if you want to apply to a fellowship you believe you’ll get it but you will only know months after. The result will show up months after you were already believing. So in that case how do you know that you believe at the time that you don’t have the result?
