Hungry despite staying on protocol and eating plenty of veggies and protein

I’m staying on protocol, but finding I’m getting super hungry at night and waking up with physical hunger. Should I adjust my protocol to eat more or work on surfing the urge in the wee hours? It does feel like genuine hunger. Or will this dissipate with fat adaptation? I’ve always tended to feel hungry during the sleep hours and frequently eat although it’s bad for my teeth and insulin. Thanks!
