There is a former colleague who left the company where we worked.  They went to go work as a manager barely 2 years ago.

A few weeks ago, I found out (via Linkedin) that they were going to give a conference.  They have little managerial experience! In addition, I saw on their Linkedin feed, that they are going to be interviewed for a major magazine.

I don’t understand. I sat at their conference, and I know I’m judging them, but I didn’t find them that great.

I feel jealous of the notoriety and connections they are gaining.
