I’m working on time management/Monday Hour One as a primary focus in SCS. I’ve challenged myself by signing a contract that requires me to complete 271 hours of billable consulting work by the end of March. I did this because this type of contract is the best-paying work that I do but I usually only have the opportunity to do it January-March (this year even a shorter window). I also have an 8-day plane trip planned to see my elderly parents who both have dementia (I am not planning to work during that time). I am struggling to believe that I can do the billable work and also do self-care, have family time with my husband and two teens, and take care of other responsibilities. Of the remaining weekdays that I have scheduled to do billable hours before my deadline, I need to complete 8.5 billable hours a day.
UM
C: Plan to complete 8.5 billable hours a day on available weekdays
T: I have no time to do anything other than billable work
F: freaked out
A: buffer, procrastinate, don’t plan to do tasks after dinner, look for evidence from the past that I won’t have time for family, self-care, other responsibilities
R: Don’t even get billable work done

C: Plan to complete 8.5 billable hours a day on available weekdays
T: It’s no big deal if I leave everything else until the weekend
F: calm
A: plan billable hours on calendar, follow plan, don’t beat myself if I don’t follow the plan, try to fit in self-care, family time and other tasks in remaining hours, tell myself that I can do self-care, family time and other tasks on the weekend, allow urges to buffer and procrastinate
R: Get billable work done on planned workdays.
Any help you can offer is appreciated.
