In my team, there was an opening for a team lead position. I applied, interviewed and got the job.

This also entails giving up parts of my current job that I absolutely love. I am also generally scared and doubting whether I will be any good at it. My brain is telling me to stick to what I know and what I am really good at – my current job.

I am afraid I am making a mistake by going into management and that I will hate it. But I also know that I already decided I will do it – it’s my gut reaction, to take the job instead of saying no.

How do I not regret going into it even if it fails?
