IBS and the Overeating Seminar

I am just now beginning to work through the overeating seminar and am loving it! I am 5’6″ and weigh between 180 and 185. My goal weight is 140 (I know Brooke would say she’d drop it to 130 or something and that seems so impossible to me!). I am JUST BEGINNING my journey. Here’s my issue: I have dealt with “IBS” for close to 25 years. In the last 5 years it’s become even more difficult, especially in times of “getting healthy” and losing weight. As I drop weight, my IBS flares up to the point where I don’t feel like I can leave my house for days on end and I have very high anxiety. Are there any tips to deal with this? I know Brooke talks about just diving in and not going slow, but my body seems to reject this. Or is this what the “going through hell” part of the program is going to be about for me?
