My impossible goal for 2021 is to learn to dance. Although I am making some progress, it feels very slow and I feel discouraged that I’m not farther along. I have done models and know that these type of thoughts aren’t helpful and just stall my progress.
Here is my model:

T: I am so far from where I want to be.
F: Discouraged
A: My attempts are half-hearted, I give up, I buffer with food and social media, I create negative instead of positive energy about the process
R: I sabotage myself
I realize this model is not serving me but I have trouble coming up with thoughts that do serve me. How can I be patient during the process?
