Hi, I keep trying to make sure I have the right understanding of an indulgent emotion. I understand that it is an emotion we go to that keeps us from being productive and taking action. We give in to it and feel justified feeling it, but it does not serve us.

Is this correct?

I think I just don’t understand the term “indulgent”. I looked in the dictionary and it says “willing to allow people to have what they wish” which I don’t understand in terms of the emotion. Can you give me a synonym for indulgent?
