I have been doing intermittent fasting for 6 months now (eating window is 11:30 am to 7:30 pm). I am a runner and run 4 or 5 times each week. I run in the mornings usually between 6 and 8 am. I run between 3 and 5 miles on weekdays and a longer…like 7 or 8 miles on the weekend. What I am finding is that I am starving. Like stomach growling and rumbling for an hour or so in the mornings. I don’t eat. I tell myself to “eat in” and that I am fine. I am not anxious about being hungry, but what I am feeling is that I am not listening to my body. Once I can eat and I satisfy the initial hunger then a few hours later or when I have decided it is time for a meal, I eat again and sometimes I’m not hungry but eat because it is on the schedule. I feel like I don’t eat when I am hungriest and then I do eat when I am not hungry.
As far as weight loss. I have about 10 more pounds to go. I know I will get there when my body is ready to drop the weight and in the mean time, I am tweaking my protocol and learning about what works for me food wise.
