It happened because it was supposed to happen

Brooke talks about how things happen because they are supposed to happen, or because they did.

I struggle with the “religiousness” in this statement, and this way to go if you seek to accept something bad in the past.

I can see that there is no use arguing with the past/it will always win/this argument does not serve me. I realize it can make you feel better if you truly believe that bad things happened because they were meant to happen. How to get to where it feels true is where I have trouble.

When she addresses just this question (I think in a podcast about grief), she states that it can take time or be difficult to think this way, but I do not even know how to begin.

My question is: Is there a tool I can use to get closer to accepting a bad decision (and its consequences), that is too late to undo ?
