C: Kathy tells me her family and another family (I know) are vacationing together
T: I’m not invited OR I’m not liked enough
F: jealous
A: look for evidence of not being liked and included, have a pity party, believe I’m not liked; I’m not?????
R: I don’t like me?

These types of scenarios are a constant in my life. I know this isn’t about me and it’s about them. But my brain always twists it into me being less than. I guess being aware of it, I’ll just soon laugh at myself when these thoughts pop up. Thought swapping never seems to be helpful. Below is an example of a thought swap:

T: oh they will have so much fun!
F: neutral
A: don’t waste brain space dwelling on being left out
R: happy for others
