Joy Eat is not worth it?


Hi Brooke,
I have decided to not “joy” eat as the cravings and urges are persistent and I feel like I have to expend too much energy modelling and allowing the feeling. Easier to not eat it. Not joyous at all.
Would you recommend I continue to practice joy eating to better “teach” my brain to stop craving it after the planned amount? I think there is truly a physiologic reality here and am better off without it. The overdesire is an energy suck. My R doesn’t quite work here.

T – I am eating the planned amount and teaching my brain that I can be in control.
F – control
A – eat planned amount
R – get better at eating planned amount – but deal with persistent cravings
