Just curious

Hi Brooke, I need clarification on a concept of worthiness. We are always worthy and nothing can ever that that way correct? Now what is the idea that religions believe in forgiving your sins? Is that the acknowledgment of the fact that we are not worthy because of our actions?

Say for example I gossiped about someone. Some say that it’s wrong and it’s a “sin.” I can go and have it forgiven. But that doesn’t make me any less worthy? I guess I’m trying to understand where we are always worthy but then need to ask forgiveness for our actions if that makes sense? So are we just forgiving our humanness?

Not sure if I explained it the best, but I thought maybe you could clarify! Thank you!
