So I was wondering…my partner has two grandkids and his daughter asked if we could have them for an overnight tonight because she has a stagette to attend. I said no because I work full days Friday and Saturday and I work early Saturday morning. He said she’s really in a bind and that he wants to spend time with them. I totally understand that but he knows Friday nights are bad for me to have two boys under 10 stay overnight. Don’t get me wrong, I love them both a lot but they are young and are super rambunctious. I don’t want to be rude and disrespectful by being grumpy around them while I know I need quiet time. I’m thinking I may stay overnight somewhere else so as to get the appropriate rest for myself. Is this unreasonable or do I shift my mindset and just enjoy them while they are here? Because I’m feeling both annoyed and guilty.
