quick question, we often hear coaches say, you are free to choose what you want as long as you “like your reason”, or “make sure you like your reason for doing x”
Now, what does this actually mean? I have countless situations in my mind where I have conflicting desires, conflicting reasons and motivations to do x and not do x. Being it interacting with a person I may have some desire but also hurry, and also fear
For exercising I may have genuine desire but also fear of not doing it and compelled from comparison with others
When we have valid reasons for doing and not doing, what does it mean to like my reasons? How do I know if I am liking my reason enough? If I don’t like that much my results it is a sign that I do not like enough my reason?
