Making a Choice When all Results are the Same

How do you make choices if you know that no matter what you can be happy with that choice. If our actions are motivated because we want to feel a certain way, I do not fully understand how we make decisions once we know we can feel however we want to no matter what we choose to do. For example, if I can be happy married or unmarried why would I ever choose one over the other? Is it because one situation may take less thought work to be happy? What other reasons could there be?
