Making room for happiness


I’ve just started my third month in scholars and it’s been incredibly helpful so far. I’ve set goals, reached them, am growing my business and am learning to feel my feelings and not buffer – it is AWESOME.

There is however one feeling I find really hard to process and, crazily, it is happiness. I totally freaks me out. When good things happen (and they are happening more and more since I joined scholars) I somehow get scared and try to close down/close off from the feeling. I get very ‘high’ and hyper so as not to really feel it.

I’ve been doing some grounding exercises but I still find it really hard to make room for happiness. Any pointers on how I can really allow myself to feel happiness in my body without getting scared and skittish?
