Maladaptive Models


How do you approach models which you don’t like but still feel that they serve you well? For example, I associate worrying and thoughts that lead to worry with being well prepared and helping me do things to be prepared. I also find that I use anxiety to help me get things done that I need to get done. Even though I do not “want” to operate this way, I still think and feel it is overall beneficial to me because it leads to wanted actions somehow and maybe even wanted results. How do I go about breaking this cycle? Sometimes I jump to trying to make an intentional model too quickly so I wasn’t sure of the best approach here. Thanks!
