Manager Discussion Model

I’m having a discussion with my manager in three and a half hours about staying remote after moving so I don’t expect this will be answered before then, but here is my model using the “T as a C” from the Uncertainty call with Bev:

C: He is as uncertain of our conversation as I am
T: This is an opportunity for vulnerability & connection
F: Love or compassion
A: Hold space for his emotions, remind him of my intention to keep working for him, ask what needs to happen to make full-time remote next year happen, be gentle yet firm that our decision to move is made, don’t get into a rabbit hole/argument about my reasons, allow him to react however he will react.
R: I make space for vulnerability & connection for both of us

I have been getting coached about this upcoming conversation for what feels like months and now it’s time for it.
