Marriage Workshop

The part that sticks out to me the most is “on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the effort you put into loving your partner?”
I’m about a 4.
I would LOVE to love him as a 10. I am in love with him. BUT I believe my 4 is justified.

We aren’t married. He’s never referred to me as his girlfriend. We’ve only been dating for a year. I’ve never told him I love him.
When I think about operating at a 10, I get giddy but also worried about what he will think of me.

Will he think I’m coming on too strong? Should only married people operate as a 10? Will operating at a 10 mean I’ll have to be the first person to say “I love you”?

I need some help sorting through these thoughts because I also have a fear deep down that I will lose him because I am operating at a 4 and consciously holding myself back from being a 10.
